PEP is an abbreviation for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis. PEP is an HIV Prevention strategy that involves taking HIV medications immediately after a single high-risk event. PEP must be started as soon as possible to be effective, but no more than 72 hours after being exposed.

Because timing is critical when it comes to PEP, Bliss is committed to providing the test and treat model so every patient received everything they need the same day.

Most people ask if insurance covers PEP; many do. However, you should verify with your insurance. If not, our care managers and medical staff will be more than happy to assist you.

We provide you with self-testing for your results. If you prefer not to do so, you are welcome to do it here in our clinic, where we have specialized and skilled nurses to get the samples for you. Simple let know your provider know what option you would like, and we will make it happen.
