Our Story

Our Beginning

BLISS Health was founded in 2015 with the goal of providing comprehensive medical care to patients living with or at risk of HIV, STDs, and Hepatitis.

The visionary leader behind the practice, Dr. Roberto Ortiz, brings more than 40 years of experience in sexual health — specifically in the testing, treatment, prevention and research of HIV and STDs.

Dr. Ortiz opened the practice with just five employees, and a mission of providing quality care in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment. This commitment to compassionate care helped Dr. Ortiz and the team establish a trusted reputation throughout Orlando and Central Florida.

Where We Are Now

BLISS Health provides a one-stop destination for sexually active people who want to protect their health and the health of their partners. The team — which now consists of more than 30 individuals — believes that sex should be fun and stress-free, but that requires education, testing, treatment and prevention.

BLISS Health provides a full-suite of sexual health offerings — both in person and via telemedicine — including routine doctor's visits, laboratory testing, prescription medication, and mental health support like counseling.

In addition, the team offers a Care Management program for individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. The Care Management program has a dedicated team of case managers who help patients receive assistance with housing, transportation, food, and medication.

Currently, BLISS Health serves people living in Orlando and throughout Central Florida, but the team intends to expand its services nationwide.
